Our Story

Where the Burden Began

Family Restoration was born from a burden for the family.
The journey began when I had the opportunity to be among people experiencing different kinds of family challenges—infidelity, financial crises, poor parenting, constant quarrelling, broken relationships and the pain that comes when family begins to fall apart.
I witnessed the effect these struggles had on individuals and relationships.
I also saw what single parents went through and I saw how deeply family brokenness could affect children.
It became clear to me that something has to be done.

Families needed more than advice. They needed truth, understanding, practical guidance, healing and the courage to take the next right step. That was when the burden for the Family Restoration began to take shape.

A Burden That Remained

The journey has not always been continuous.
There was a season when the programme had to be temporarily halted.
But the vision never left.
Even when the programme stopped, the burden remained in my heart. The desire to see marriages restored, families strengthened and children given a healthier foundation never disappeared.
Over time, I came to understand more deeply that family restoration is not simply about solving one problem.
It is about people.
It is about understanding what went wrong, taking responsibility, addressing wounds, rebuilding what has been damaged and intentionally creating something healthier for the next generation.
What began as a burden has continued to grow into a vision.
And today, that vision is Family Restoration.

Why We Exist

We believe this assignment is bigger than a programme.
We believe it is a calling to serve individuals, couples and families by helping them return to God’s design.
Our desire is to help people take the next right step.
Sometimes that step may be learning.
Sometimes it may be forgiveness.
Sometimes it may be taking responsibility.
Sometimes it may be seeking help.
Sometimes it may be rebuilding trust.
And sometimes it may simply be having the courage to begin again.
We do not believe that every family story will look the same.
But we believe that brokenness does not have to be the final chapter.

The Vision

Return to God’s design.
Restore the family.
Raise the generation.

One step at a time.
One family at a time.
One generation at a time.
He leads the way.
Soli Deo Gloria.

Meet the Founder

Ugochukwu Okorie

Founder | Author | Family Restoration Advocate

Ugochukwu Okorie is the founder of Family Restoration, an initiative born from a deep burden to see individuals, marriages and families restored and strengthened.

His passion for family restoration grew from witnessing the real-life consequences of broken relationships, marital struggles, financial pressures, poor parenting and family conflict—and seeing how these experiences can affect not only couples, but also children and future generations.

Over time, this burden developed into a clear conviction: family restoration must go beyond identifying problems. It must help people understand what needs to change, take responsibility, rebuild what has been damaged and intentionally create healthier foundations for the next generation.

As an author and teacher, Ugochukwu uses writing, biblical teaching, practical resources and structured programmes to address issues surrounding marriage, parenting, relationships, personal responsibility and generational legacy.

His work is grounded in a simple belief:

Brokenness does not have to be the final chapter.

His desire is to help people take the next right step—one step at a time, one family at a time, one generation at a time.

He leads the way.

Soli Deo Gloria.
